Wuyishan Taiwei Overview

Wuyishan Taiwei is a wholly owned subsidiary of Beijing Taiwei Holding Group, nestled within the heart of Wuyishan — a UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Dual Heritage site. Spanning nearly 2,500 mu (around 1.65 square kilometers), the resort is built around four complementary pillars: an international golf course, a sports and wellness hotel, the Taiwei Aidu Sports Center, and the Wuyishan tea industry — together forming a destination that blends sport, nature, and culture in perfect harmony.

Founded in 1984 and established as a group in 1996, Beijing Taiwei Holding (Group) Co., Ltd. is headquartered in Beijing with a registered capital of 281.5 million RMB. Today, the group employs more than 2,000 professionals, oversees 25 subsidiaries and joint ventures, and stands as a leading integrated enterprise with a presence across multiple provinces and cities in China.

Taiwei’s business spans five major sectors — engineering construction, ecological landscaping, and real estate development among them — delivering an annual output exceeding 8 billion RMB and over 4 million square meters of completed projects. Over the years, the group has been recognized with multiple national honors, including the prestigious Luban Award.

Driven by a people-first philosophy and a spirit of resilience and ambition, Taiwei continues to expand along the full industrial value chain of construction. The group remains committed not only to excellence in engineering but also to creating enduring social value through innovation and integrity.

Set against the breathtaking Danxia peaks of Wuyishan — where the air carries a negative oxygen ion concentration among the highest in China and the soil nurtures the birthplace of black tea and oolong tea — Wuyishan Taiwei offers more than a retreat. It is an invitation for guests from around the world to craft their own legend of dual heritage, surrounded by nature’s poetry and the timeless spirit of the mountains.

Birthplace of  Tea Culture

Wuyishan is the origin of black tea (Lapsang Souchong)—with a history spanning over 400 years—and the cradle of oolong tea, where the mother trees of Da Hong Pao (insured for 100 million RMB) still grow. The legendary Tea Road began here in the 17th century, linking Chinese tea masters with Russia and Europe. These living traditions shape the resort’s immersive tea experiences.
